The Final Word: Syracuse 72, Cornell 53

Buddy Boeheim scored 16 points on 4-for-13 shooting from behind the arc.

On Wednesday, freshman forward Quincy Guerrier (10 points, five rebounds) provided Syracuse a lift off the bench in a defensive struggle in the Carrier Dome. The Orange shot 47% from the field, but Guerrier and Elijah Hughes (22 points) led Syracuse past Cornell, 72-53.

Before the game, Syracuse players wore warm-up T-shirts displaying #NotAgainSU to express their support the student-led protests against recent racist and bias-related hate acts on campus.
